Fedora 11 New Install

You’ve just installed Fedora 11 onto your desktop/laptop and it’s working a treat, but before you actually start using it for work/play etc there are always things you do to it first…….Here’s my brief list, what’s yours?

1, Enable the RPM Fusion repo
2, yum install yum-presto
3, yum install broadcom-wl [for my laptops wireless]
4, yum upgrade

Pretty simple really :)

I decided to back to fedora and this post is fantastic. I have read to use yum-presto with yum-plugin-fastestmirror. Do you think is a good idea?

Now, I am usually a Debian user, but isn’t it “yum update” to upgrade your packages?
